Humankind is made for uncertainty, struggle, choice and change. – A Wise One from Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time epic.

This is the Season of Living Intuitively.  I aim to live from my hearts best intuition and manage the problems of uncertainty.

Each season over on Body & Soul Mentor member site, I select a new theme for exploration.  The theme arises from movement in the collective consciousness or that of individual patients or members.

Recommended by a wonderful patient, I’ve been reading The Black Swan by Nassim Taleb.  The subtitle – The Impact of the HIGHLY IMPROBABLE – says it all.  (Their caps.)

His premise is that life is way more uncertain that we think.  And that the human mind is set up to keep us deluded in this regard.  Lastly, unpredictable, HIGHLY IMPROBABLE, events have huge impacts on our lives.

Look into your own life to see the truth of this.  Which unpredictable, HIGHLY IMPROBABLE events occurred that blocked one path and that, perhaps,  led you in new directions.

For me, one such example was the unpredictable events in South East Asia during the ‘60s, in a country most Americans had never heard of.  The draft for the Viet Nam war led me to a draft deferrable occupation as a schoolteacher.  That position led to mentoring, which led to you reading this newsletter.

Take a Moment Today and Ponder

Take a moment today and ponder – Which were the HIGHLY IMPROBABLE events that had a high impact on your life.

Here’s my wife, Suzanne’s story as another example –

I was studying early childhood education with thought of being a teacher of parents and toddlers.  While giving birth to our first daughter, Zoe, I encountered two nursery nurses.  One was acting like a strict shaming authority.  The other one treated me like a beloved niece who just needed a bit of information to become perfectly able to care for her newborn.

Unconsciously, as Zoe grew, , I changed my focus from education to nursing.  Newborns and new parents have been my focus since. (37 years & 10,000 families.)

The current HIGHLY IMPROBABLE Great Recession is another example.  The pundits are telling us how it was predictable and could have been, should have been prevented.  Delusion.  HIGHLY IMPROBABLE.

The alternative to this delusion is to admit you’re not in control.  This is unbearable for most humans.  (I am a recovering controller.)

One way out of the pain of not being in control is trust God and to live in the flow.  I use the Zen aphorism, which I have shared often with you –

There is no-where to go

And there is no-thing to do

The next line which isn’t stated but implied is –

And what calls me today.  (Where does God call me today. What is God’s will for me today)

First step is to listen.  No, obviously, that’s not the first step.  The first step is to be fully present.  You can’t listen to anything but your fear until you are present, right?  You need to experience Deep Wealth first.

Then from that place of Deep Wealth, listen to what calls you each day.

Each morning on my Living Intuitively sabbatical, I would listen to discover what called me, then I would go there.  Most days I made drawings of these places, I transformed some of the drawings into paintings.

You can look at the paintings I did on my journeys.

In a later newsletter, I’ll talk about the use of Oracles to help you to listen to your callings and to squash uncertainty.

Blessings,

William

P.S. As promised, now you can get the Get Wealthy First Program without the membership.
